The SMM fair Hamburg is the leading international maritime trade fair in the world. Once every two years, the trade fair gathers world's leaders in marine technology and engineering, production of state-of-the-art ship instruments, shipbuilding and maintenance, as well as decision-makers in the broadly complex global maritime economy.

SMM 2024

The SMM fair in Hamburg was initially scheduled for September 2020, but the crisis of COVID-19 forced it to be postponed to 2024. Organizers will try to preserve the original program, and the SMM fair Hamburg is actually set to run underthe motto "Driving the Maritime Transition".
Focusing on the future and upcoming challenges in the maritime industry, SMM 2024 will deliver innovative presentations. The 29th edition of the No. 1 international maritime trade fair will be held from 6th until 9th September 2024. More than 2,200 exhibitors and 50,000 online visitors are expected to attend the event. SMM covers the entire value chain; therefore, the upcoming edition will also cover the latest standards as well as regulations that will impact the maritime industry currently, and the future.
