  1. Sun Salutation

    This is a 22m-in-width ring set into a pavement on the waterfront, which consist of 300 multilayered PV glass plates that accumulates the Sun’s solar power to make electricity night time. From sunset to sunrise it produces a light show, and the system is so powerful it manages to harness enough electricity to power the entire Zadar water-front public lighting system. This wonderful creation was designed by the local architect Nikola Bašić.

    Zadar’s unique Sea Organ is a world wonder only found here, therefore it is a must to see and hear this amazing system in action. Located on the promenade on the water front, it is built inside the pierced stone stairs that incline into the sea water as a structure of tubes and toots that displays reflective sigh sounds when the sea waves push air through them. This unusual site is especially great during the sunset time when you see the sun going down accompanied by the amazing sounds of the sea from the system will make memorable moments for life. This system was also designed by the local genius Nikola Bašić.

    The museum of Illusions Zadar is located in the heart of the old town of Zadar, inside a heritage building. The museum exhibits parts of the optical illusions sphere with an amusing approach.     The archaeological museum in Zadar displays its collections in a modern and interesting system. It is organized chronologically and contains three floors; the lower floor is for the time after the arrival of the Croats and the Christianization. The middle floor is about the era when Dalmatia was a Roman colony. The top floor is for the Stone Age and Metal Age cultures of Dalmatia.

    The presentation at the Museum of Antique Glass in Zadar comprises numerous different glass objects dating back to the 2nd century BC.     Zadar's cathedral of St Anastasia dates back to the 12th century is rich and impressive cathedral in the old town of Zadar. The altar has a marble sarcophagus holding the relics of St Anastasia, while the choir comprises extravagantly engraved stalls.

    This tower is adjacent to and belongs to St Anastasia's Cathedral. Once you climb the 180 steps all the way up to the observation deck you will be greeted with great panoramic views of the city and its surroundings.

    St. Donatus Church has an unfamiliar spherical Byzantine-style design, which was commissioned by Bishop Donatus at the start of the 9th century. It is a rare building that went through so many conflicts over the centuries, and still stands proud. For more than 200 years now, this church has not seen any church service, but because of the brilliant acoustics of the modest interior, there has been many music events taking place there.

    This is the hidden treasure of Zadar that was constructed in 1280 AD. It is located at the edge of the old town, with the outside looking very humble, but once you go inside the rooms it has a lot to offer inside like; a large 12th-century decorated timber crucifix, a 15th-century polyptych, and a 16th-century portrait of Christ.
